Powering On a ServerNet II Switch
Powering On a ServerNet II Switch
1. Make sure that the ServerNet II Switch is receiving power from the UPS. Refer to
Powering On a UPS on page 7-4 for more information.
2. Press the Power button located in the lower left side of the ServerNet II Switch until
it clicks.
3. Verify that the following occurs:
•
The green power-on LED on the ServerNet II Switch is lit.
•
The yellow fault LED lights briefly and then remains unlit.
Note. After powering off a ServerNet II Switch, you must wait 30 seconds before powering it
back on again so that the voltage can discharge fully and that proper initialization can occur. If
you do not wait 30 seconds, the ServerNet II Switch might power on in a non-operational state,
and all LEDs will be stuck on. Powering off and back on again after 30 seconds corrects the
problem.
