Powering Off a ServerNet II Switch
You can power off the ServerNet II Switch from either the UPS or the ServerNet II
Switch itself. If you are replacing a ServerNet II Switch or disconnecting the ServerNet
II Switch from the UPS for any reason, you must power off the ServerNet II Switch from
the UPS.
•
To discontinue the power available to the ServerNet II Switch from the UPS:
1. Press the Standby (middle) button on the uninterruptible power supply (UPS)
for three seconds until the Power-ON LED on the UPS becomes unlit. The
power to the ServerNet II Switch is discontinued, and the ServerNet II Switch
powers off.
Note. When powering off the ServerNet II Switch, wait 30 seconds before powering it back on
again so that the voltage can discharge fully and that proper initialization can occur. If you do
not wait 30 seconds, the ServerNet II Switch might come up in a non-operational state, and all
LEDs will be stuck on. Powering off and back on again after 30 seconds corrects the problem.
