Disconnecting the AC Power Cords
2. Check the LEDs on the UPS:
•
Check that the green power-on LED (16) is unlit. This LED indicates
whether power is available to the ServerNet II Switch.
•
The green battery charge LEDs (6 through 8) continue to show whether the
UPS battery is fully charged.
3. Check that the green power-on LED on the ServerNet II Switch is unlit.
•
To power off the ServerNet II Switch directly:
1. Press the power button located in the lower left side of the ServerNet II Switch.
2. Check that the green power-on LED on the ServerNet II Switch is unlit.
Disconnecting the AC Power Cords
Disconnecting an AC Transfer Switch From AC Power
The AC transfer switch powers off as soon as you disconnect both AC power cords
from the power sources. Although the AC power to UPS and the ServerNet II Switch is
discontinued, the UPS continues to provide battery backup power to the ServerNet II
Switch.
Disconnecting a UPS From AC Power
1. Press the Standby button on the UPS for 3 seconds until the power-on LED
becomes unlit.
2. To prevent electric shock, disconnect the power cords as follows:
a. On the AC transfer switch, disconnect the AC power cord that goes to the
UPS.
b. Remove the other end of the AC power cord from the UPS.
Disconnecting a ServerNet II Switch From AC Power and
Battery Power
1. Perform the steps to discontinue power from the UPS as described in Powering Off
a ServerNet II Switch on page 7-6.
2. Disconnect the AC power cord from the UPS to the ServerNet II Switch.
