Monitoring a UPS

LED is lit. The UPS is supplying
battery power because the
AC power voltage is higher
than the allowable range.
If this LED remains
lit, have an
electrician ensure
that the proper AC
power voltage is
being supplied to the
UPS.
LED is
flashing.
The UPS is now supplying
AC power because the
voltage has returned to the
allowable range.

page 8-22.

LED is lit. The AC power voltage is
within the allowable range.
No action is
required.

(green)
LED is lit. The AC power voltage is
lower than the UPS
expects but still within the
allowable range. The UPS
is compensating and
providing power to a
ServerNet II Switch without
the use of batteries.
If this LED remains
lit, have an
electrician check
that the proper AC
line voltage is being
supplied to the UPS.

(red)
LED is lit. The UPS is supplying
battery power because the
AC power voltage is lower
than the allowable range.
If this LED remains
lit, have an
electrician check
that the proper AC
line voltage is being
supplied to the UPS.
LED is
flashing.
The UPS is now supplying
utility power because the
utility voltage has returned
to the allowable range.
