Monitoring a UPS
Battery

the audio
alarm sounds.
If LED 10 is lit
during power on
the UPS, the
battery voltage
might be low if
the UPS has
been out of
service for a long
period.
A potential
battery failure
has occurred.
Allow the UPS to charge the
batteries for 24 hours. Then
initiate a self-test. If LED 10
continues to be lit, contact
your service provider to
replace the UPS.
LED is flashing
and the audio
alarm sounds.
An internal UPS
overvoltage
condition has
occurred.
Refer to Resetting the Audio
Alarm on the UPS on
page 8-22. If the audio alarm
cannot be silenced, refer to
Placing the UPS in Standby
Mode on page 8-22. Then,
contact your service provider
to replace the UPS.
