Layer Cable Connections
Layer Cable Connections
Each layer cable connects to another switch in the same fabric and group with the
same PIC slot and port number. The cable connections vary depending on the number
of layer:

Figure 6-1 on page 6-5 shows cable connections for the X fabric between two layers in
zone 1. Connections for the Y fabric and for zones 2 and 3 are the same. With 2
layers in each zone, slots 12 and 13 contain blank PICs.
