Identifying Components in a 6780 Switch
Module Number
The module number is always the same as the layer number. The module number
corresponds to the fourth digit setting on the numeric selector.
Identifying Components in a 6780 Switch
Each switch module contains 18 slots:
•
Slots 1 through 13 (Figure 2-2, Plug-In Cards, on page 2-6) are located in the rear
of the switch, and contain up to 13 plug-in cards.
•
Slots 14 through 18 are located in the front of a switch (Figure 2-1, Components in
the Front of a 6780 Switch, on page 2-5). These slots contain a logic board, two
fans, and two power supplies.
Table 2-3 on page 2-5 shows the function of each component in slots 14 through 18.
