Checking the Status of an Expand-Over-ServerNet
Line
Checking the Status of an Expand-Over-ServerNet Line
Perform this procedure after you have added a node to a ServerNet cluster, migrated a
ServerNet cluster, or if you are having problems with an Expand-over-ServerNet line.
1. To list the Expand lines:
-> LISTDEV TYPE 63,4
2. In the display, check all lines of type 63, 4. The naming convention for Expand-
over-ServerNet lines is $SCexpand node number. For example, $SC035 is the
Expand-over-ServerNet line to Expand node number 035.
3. To check the status of each Expand-over-ServerNet line, use either SCF or OSM:
Using SCF:
a. Check that the line is started and ready:
-> STATUS LINE $SC035, DETAIL
b. Check that the path is started:
-> STATUS PATH $SC035, DETAIL
Using the OSM Service Connection:
a. Log on to the OSM Service Connection.
b. From the tree pane, select a Remote Node resource.
c. From the details pane, click the Attributes tab.
d. From the Attributes tab, check the Expand attributes. Check that the
connectivity status is Connected, the Line LDEV state is Up, and the
Remote Line LDEV State is Up.
4. For additional information about the lines:
-> INFO PROCESS $NCP, NETMAP
For more information, refer to the Expand Configuration and Management Manual.
5. If a line is Down, NOT READY, or not in a STARTED state, check that the remote
node is up, and then start the line as described in Starting the Expand-Over-
ServerNet Line-Handler Processes and Lines on page 11-5.
