OSM Actions
OSM Actions
Use these OSM actions to make changes to the ServerNet cluster.
Update Topology Action
The Update Topology action disables alarms on the ServerNet cluster during the
migration. This action can be performed from any node in the current ServerNet
cluster. To update the topology:
1. Log on to the OSM Service Application
2. From the tree pane, right-click ServerNet Cluster, and select Actions.
3. From the Available Actions drop-down list, select Update topology.
4. Click Perform action. The Update Topology action appears. Follow the directions
that appear.
Add Node to ServerNet Cluster Action
This OSM action:
Brings up a guided procedure
Indicates whether or not line-handler processes are configured between the local
node and remote nodes and shows the line states.
Allows you to configure and start Expand-over-ServerNet line-handler processes
and Expand-over-ServerNet lines from the local node to all remote nodes.
For NonStop S-series servers, verifies that the group 01 MSEBs are installed and
ready
Indicates when to connect the fiber-optic cables between the node and the X-fabric
switch or Y-fabric switch
Prompts you to start ServerNet cluster services by placing the ServerNet cluster
SUBSYS object in the STARTED state and collects cluster information
To start the Add Node to ServerNet Cluster Action:
1. From the system console connected to the node you are adding, log on to the
OSM Service Connection.
2. From the tree pane, right-click the System resource, and select Actions. The
actions dialog box is displayed.
3. From the available actions drop-down list, select the Add Node to ServerNet
Cluster action.
