Hardware Required
Hardware Required
ServerNet clusters require switches, nodes, and fiber-optic cables to route the
ServerNet packets and messages. For more information, refer to Hardware Installation
and Migration Planning on page 3-5.
Switches
For the layered topology, 6780 switches are required. Depending on your
configuration, specific PICs are required in each 6780 switch.
Nodes
For ServerNet clusters that use the layered topology, NonStop S-series servers are
supported as nodes in the cluster. Each NonStop S-series server to be connected as a
node in a ServerNet cluster requires two MSEBs and two NNA PICs.
