Connections Between External Ports and Internal Routers
Table 2-6 shows the relationship between the switch ports located in the rear of the
6780 switch to the router and ports inside the logic board. The internal routers that
connect to an external port do not become enabled until a fiber-optic cable establishes
a good connection to the external port.
