Task 3: Plan for the 6780 Switches
Plan the PICs Needed for Each 6780 Switch
Blank PICs are installed if other PICs are not present.
1. If you have two or three zones, decide whether to use two dual SMF PICs or two
quad MMF PICs for the zone interconnect.
2. Decide on the number of dual SMF PICs for the connection between a 6780 switch
and a NonStop S-series server. You must have at least the minimum number
stated in Table 3-4.
