Enabling Automatic Expand-Over-ServerNet Line-Handler
Generation
Automatic Expand-Over-ServerNet line-handler generation is enabled by default. If it
has been disabled, use the ENABLE macro located at the $SYSTEM.ZOSMLH
subvolume to reenable it. To reenable automatic Expand-Over-ServerNet line-handler
generation, run ENABLE at a TACL prompt:
> RUN ENABLE
Reseating a Fiber-Optic Cable
1. Check that the fiber-optic cable is clearly labeled.
2. Disconnect the fiber-optic cable from the 6780 switch.
3. Connect the LC connector to the appropriate 6780 switch port:
a. Align the keys on the connector body with the transceiver on the switch.
b. Insert the LC connector into the transceiver, squeezing the connector body
gently between your thumb and forefinger as you insert it. Push the connector
straight into the receptacle until the connector clicks into place.
c. Check that the connector is fully mated to the transceiver.
4. Check the link-alive LED near each 6780 switch port. The LED should light
seconds after the connector is inserted. Wait for the LED to stop flashing. If the
LED does not remain lit without flashing after 60 seconds, refer to Green Link-Alive
LED Is Not Lit on page 10-2.
