Upgrading Software With System Loads to Obtain G06.14
Functionality
This upgrade:
•
Begins with a ServerNet cluster consisting of up to 16 nodes (star or split-star
topologies) running any of the following RVUs:

G06.09
°
G06.10
°
G06.11
°
G06.12
°
G06.13
•
Upgrades the TSM client software on all system consoles
•
Migrates the operating system on all nodes to G06.13 (with SPRs) or a later
G-series RVU (without SPRs)
•
Installs new versions of the software listed in Table 4-6 on page 4-8 on all G06.13
nodes
•
Upgrades the firmware and configuration in the cluster switches
•
Does not change the cluster topology
Following the upgrade, you can change the topology (add cluster switches) to support
up to 24 nodes without installing new software or performing a system load.
Note. Upgrading the operating system to G06.13 or a later G-series RVU is required only
if you need to configure a tri-star topology. Otherwise, you might be able to apply the
Release 3 (G06.14) SPRs to G06.09 through G06.12 without a system load. For
availability of these SPRs on earlier RVUs, check with your HP representative.
