Locating the Servers and Cluster Switches
Note the following considerations for locating the cluster switches:
•
The power cord for a cluster switch and its power subsystem measures 8.2 feet
(2.5 meters).
•
A switch enclosure can be installed on the floor or on top of a base system
enclosure.
•
To reduce cabling errors, HP recommends that the X-fabric and Y-fabric cluster
switches be installed with some distance between them. Do not install the cluster
switches next to or on top of each other. See Figure 2-8.
