Examples
The following example specifies that the FUP utility should run in processor 3 with a 
priority of 151:
PROCESS FUP CPU 3, PRI 151 
Special Note on Parallel Processing 
Because FUP and SWCI perform processing sequentially, each of these utilities needs 
only a single process statement.  If the configuration file contains multiple syntactically 
correct PROCESS statements for any of these utilities, the last one for that utility is the 
one that is used. SCF can perform commands in parallel if multiple SCF processes are 
configured by issuing multiple PROCESS statements for each of these utilities. 
Therefore, you might be able to improve performance by configuring several instances 
of these utilities.  
Parallel Processing Considerations for SCF

You can configure up to eight SCF processes.
•
If no SCF processes are defined, then one is assumed.
•
The maximum number of concurrent SCF commands is equal to the largest number 
of disk volumes in any Nomadic Disk segment. This is also the maximum number 
of useful SCF processes.  The Nomadic Disk Manager must manage an entire 
segment completely before it moves on to the next segment. If one segment has five 
volumes, then five SCF START DISK commands must be issued and completed 
before the Nomadic Disk Manager goes on to the next segment.
