On the Primary Node \PRI 
1. Change the switches.
•
If not using the Nomadic Disk Manager: 
a. Use the SWCI STATUS command to verify that switch modules are in the 
correct position. 
SWCI $SWITCH1.#PRI> STATUS
b. Use the SCF START DISK command to start the nomadic volumes that 
were switched from the primary node.
-> START DISK $nomadicvol, $nomadicvol

If using the Nomadic Disk Manager: 
a. Request that Network Services to perform the network switchover to the 
primary node, \PRI. 
b. Log on as the super ID and starts the Nomadic Disk Manager at a TACL 
prompt.

c. Use the TAKE command to take the ownership of the Nomadic volume 
from \BCK. 
1 ND> TAKE DATA 
After the TAKE command finishes, the mirror disk drives are automatically 
started on \PRI. 
d. If the primary drives are stopped (as in this example), use SCF to revive the 
primary drives to reflect the state of the mirror drives.
> SCF START DISK $NomadicVol 
2. Restart the applications that access data on Nomadic volumes.
When all drives at the primary node have been completely revived, normal 
processing resumes.
3. Notify Network Services that the applications are ready for processing.  
4. Network Services finishes switchover of incoming transactions and normal 
processing resumes.
