STATUS SUBNET Command
remote Expand-over-FOX line-handler process; the local and remote
clusters cannot communicate.
View Ring Topology
indicates the view of the ring from each logical path. Reading left to right, these
are the clusters encountered on a specified path. The clusters seen by $ZZFOX.#X
and $ZZFOX.#Y in the same direction should always match. The left and right
directions should be transpositions of each other. If they aren’t, the cluster should
be reconfigured. A break in the ring indicates a fault in the next cluster. Check the
Ring Termination Status field to determine the fault in the cluster.
Ring Termination Status
indicates the status of the entire FOX ring to the left and right of $ZZFOX.#X and
$ZZFOX.#Y. The Ring Termination Status field values of the link are listed in
Table 4-6.
Table 4-6. Ring Termination States of the FOX Ring Subnetwork (page 1 of 3)
Ring Termination Status Description
LBU Not Operational An operator stopped a ServerNet/FX adapter on the FOX ring,
or the neighboring ServerNet/FX adapter detected an error and
entered the ABEND state. Check the Ring Topology field to see
where the break in the ring occurred. If the Ring Topology field
lists no clusters along the path for $ZZFOX.#X or $ZZFOX.#Y,
check that the local ServerNet/FX adapter is started by using
the STATUS LBU command.
Squelch Active Squelch (either too little or too much light on the fiber) was
detected. The remote ServerNet/FX adapter connected to this
link is not functioning properly. Replace or repair the
neighboring board. Check the Ring Topology field to see where
the break in the ring occurred. If the Ring Topology field lists no
cluster along the path for $ZZFOX.#X or $ZZFOX.#Y, check
that the local ServerNet/FX adapter is started by using the
STATUS LBU command.
Invalid Neighbor $ZZFOX reports an invalid cluster number (0) for a neighbor
along the path. Check the Ring Topology field to see where the
break in the ring occurred. If the Ring Topology field lists no
cluster along the path for $ZZFOX.#X or $ZZFOX.#Y, check
that the local ServerNet/FX adapter is started by using the
STATUS LBU command. Reconfigure the invalid cluster.
Link Down Due To Errors A neighbor ServerNet/FX adapter encountered errors. Check
the state of the neighbor clusters’ ServerNet/FX adapters for
errors.
Neighbor Changed The cluster number of the neighbor on this path has changed
since the last status poll. This is a temporary condition; it
requires no action.
