STATUS LBU Command
Bootcode ID:
identifies the version string of the bootcode firmware stored within the controller’s
PROM.
Firmware ID:
identifies the version string of the currently loaded microcode.
Table 4-7. Serial Link Status
Serial Link Status Description
LBU Not Operational An operator stopped an LBU on the FOX ring, or the
neighboring ServerNet/FX adapter detected an error and
entered the STOPPED state. Check the Ring Topology field
using STATUS SUBNET $ZZFOX, DETAIL to see where the
break in the ring occurred. If the Ring Topology field lists no
clusters along the path for $ZZFOX.#X or $ZZFOX.#Y, check
that the local LBU is started by using the STATUS LBU
command.
Poor Quality Of the 10,000 special control packets transmitted to test line
quality, less than 9990 arrived. The serial link in this direction
failed.
Wired To Wrong Bus The neighbor’s X adapter has been accidentally connected to
the local Y ServerNet/FX adapter or the neighbor’s Y adapter
has been accidentally connected to the local X ServerNet/FX
adapter; reconnect the adapter.
Wired To Wrong Side The neighbor’s left or right link has been accidentally
connected to the local right or left side; reconnect the links
properly.
Wired To Wrong Side, Bus The neighbor’s X adapter right (left) link has been accidentally
connected to the local Y ServerNet/FX adapter’s right (left) link
or the neighbor’s Y adapter right (left) link has been
accidentally connected to the local X ServerNet/FX adapter’s
right (left) link; reconnect the adapter and link.
Link Down Due to Errors A neighbor ServerNet/FX adapter encountered errors. Check
the state of the neighbor clusters’ ServerNet/FX adapters for
errors.
Dropped Frames More than 2 sync frames were dropped over the sample
interval or more than 4 data frames were dropped over the last
poll. The link may be going bad or the neighbor is about to fail.
Check the Ring Topology field using STATUS SUBNET
$ZZFOX, DETAIL to see where the break in the ring occurred.
If the Ring Topology field lists no cluster along the path for
$ZZFOX.#X or $ZZFOX.#Y, check that the local LBU is started
by using the STATUS LBU command.
Link OK The path around the FOX ring to the left or right is operational;
this is the desired state.
