Escalating Problems
If you need to bring a problem to the attention of your HP representative, HP
recommends that you have the following information available:
•
A description of the problem (either verbal or written).
•
Any related error messages.
•
Action taken to resolve the problem.
•
Results of traces taken up to the point of failure. (How and when to take a trace is
explained in the Expand Network Management Guide.)
•
Memory dumps. (Online dumps are of minimal use.)
•
Other supporting information, such as:
•
Configuration and startup files
•
System environmental information
•
Results of running utility status-type commands
•
Results of diagnostics
•
Ring configuration
