ServerNet/FX Adapters
ServerNet/FX Adapters
The ServerNet/FX adapters logically extend the ServerNet fabrics via fiber-optic lines
to other clusters in the FOX ring. Two ServerNet/FX adapters are used: one for the X-
ring and one for the Y-ring.
The ServerNet/FX adapters must be installed and the fiber-optic cabling connected
before the Expand-over-FOX lines can be started. ServerNet/FX adapter installation
and cabling information is provided in the ServerNet/FX Adapter Installation and
Support Guide. ServerNet/FX 2 adapter installation and cabling information is provided
in the ServerNet/FX 2 Adapter Installation and Support Guide.
Note. The term ServerNet/FX adapter refers to the ServerNet/FX and the ServerNet/FX 2
adapter hardware.
Note. ServerNet/FX adapters must be installed by a HP-trained service provider.
