Example
Refer to the SCF Reference Manual for the Kernel Subsystem for complete syntax
information for the SCF STATUS PROCESS command.
Example
The following shows an example of the Kernel subsystem SCF STATUS PROCESS
command.
Creating ServerNet/FX Adapter LBUs
Each ServerNet/FX adapter must be identified by a logical interface called an LBU.
You must create one LBU for each ServerNet/FX adapter connected to the server.
Using the SCF ADD LBU Command
Use the ServerNet/FX adapter subsystem SCF ADD LBU command to create an LBU.
The complete command syntax for the SCF ADD LBU command is provided in
Section 4, ServerNet/FX Adapter Subsystem SCF Commands.
Note. You can also use the ServerNet/FX adapter subsystem SCF STATUS PROCESS
command to check the status of $ZZFOX. This command is explained in Section 4,
ServerNet/FX Adapter Subsystem SCF Commands.
-> STATUS PROCESS $ZZKRN.#ZZFOX
NONSTOP KERNEL - Status Process \EAST.$ZZKRN.#ZZFOX
Symbolic Name Name State Sub Primary Backup Owner
PID PID ID
ZZFOX $ZZFOX STARTED 0, 11 3,11 255,255
Note. On NonStop systems running the D-series NonStop Kernel operating system, the term
LBU has two meanings—it is an abbreviation for local bus unit (which refers to the FOX II
subsystem or TorusNet vertical subsystem hardware), and it is the logical interface to the FOX
II subsystem or TorusNet vertical subsystem hardware. On NonStop systems running the G-
series NonStop Kernel operating system, LBU refers to the logical interface to a ServerNet/FX
adapter; it is not an abbreviation.
Note. The term ServerNet/FX adapter refers to the ServerNet/FX and the ServerNet/FX 2
adapter hardware.
WARNING. The LBU for the ServerNet/FX adapter connected to the X-ring must be named
$ZZFOX.#X. The LBU for the ServerNet/FX adapter connected to the Y-ring must be named
$ZZFOX.#Y.
Caution. The default values for the LBU attributes, with the exception of CLUSTERNUM,
should be used when adding a ServerNet/FX adapter.
