Running Diagnostic Tests
Using SCF Commands for the Kernel Subsystem
You can use the Kernel subsystem SCF STATUS PROCESS command to check the
status of the FOX monitor process ($ZZFOX). The following shows an example of the
Kernel subsystem SCF STATUS PROCESS command.
Refer to the SCF Reference Manual for the Kernel Subsystem for more information
about the SCF STATUS PROCESS command.
Using the OSM or TSM Client Software
You can use either OSM or TSM client software to get current status information for a
selected ServerNet/FX adapter. The full set of ServerNet/FX adapter attributes can be
viewed in the OSM Service Connection or the TSM Service Application. A subset of
those attributes can be viewed in the OSM or TSM Low-Level Link. Status attributes for
a ServerNet/FX adapter include:

Power State
•
Right or Left Squelch Detected
•
Service State
Running Diagnostic Tests
You can use the OSM Service Connection or the TSM Service Application to perform
actions that test and verify the status and operation of a ServerNet/FX adapter. Actions
include:
•
FRU Responsive Test
•
Test Verify
•
External Loopback Test
•
Dump Controller Memory
