Altering the FOX Monitor Process ($ZZFOX) Configuration using
the Kernel Subsystem
Use the Kernel subsystem SCF ALTER PROCESS command to change the FOX
monitor process ($ZZFOX) configuration. For example, the following ALTER
PROCESS command changes the primary and backup processors for the FOX
monitor process named ZZFOX:
SCF> ALTER PROCESS $ZZKRN.#ZZFOX, PRIMARYCPU 4, BACKUPCPU 3
Refer to the SCF Reference Manual for the Kernel Subsystem for more information
about the SCF ALTER PROCESS command.
Note. For complete information about using OSM or TSM to perform actions, refer to the
OSM User's Guide, the TSM Online User Guide, or the online help within each application.
Caution. The FOX Monitor Process ($ZZFOX) can only be altered if the processors on which
$ZZFOX have been configured are in a STOPPED state.
Note. The FOX monitor process ($ZZFOX) can only be altered after a system load or
processor reload. Refer to Creating the FOX Monitor Process on page 2-3 for information.
