Removing a Cluster From a FOX Ring
Task 3: Disconnect the corresponding LBUs at the cable
neighbors
To disconnect the LBUs, issue the following SCF commands at the cluster’s cable
neighbors:
At the left cable neighbor:
If the left cable neighbor is running the D-series NonStop Kernel operating system,
enter the following SCF commands:
SCF> DISCONNECT LBU $IPB.#Y,RIGHT
SCF> DISCONNECT LBU $IPB.#X,RIGHT
If the left cable neighbor is running the G-series NonStop Kernel operating system,
enter the following SCF commands:
SCF> DISCONNECT LBU $ZZFOX.#Y,RIGHT
SCF> DISCONNECT LBU $ZZFOX.#X,RIGHT
At the right cable neighbor:
If the right cable neighbor is running the D-series NonStop Kernel operating
system, enter the following SCF commands:
SCF> DISCONNECT LBU $IPB.#Y,LEFT
SCF> DISCONNECT LBU $IPB.#X,LEFT
If the right cable neighbor is running the G-series NonStop Kernel operating
system, enter the following SCF commands:
SCF> DISCONNECT LBU $ZZFOX.#Y,LEFT
SCF> DISCONNECT LBU $ZZFOX.#X,LEFT
D-series NonStop Kernel operating system FOX subsystem SCF commands are
explained in the SCF Reference Manual for FOX.
Task 4: Stop the LBUs at the local cluster
To stop the LBUs for the ServerNet/FX adapters connected to the X- and Y-rings on
the local cluster, use the following ServerNet/FX adapter subsystem commands:
SCF> STOP LBU $ZZFOX.#X
SCF> STOP LBU $ZZFOX.#Y
Successful completion of this command leaves the LBU in the STOPPED state.
You can also use the Stop LBU action in the OSM Service Connection or the Stop
action in the TSM Service Application to stop the LBUs.
