Recovering Down or Stuck FOX Direct Logical Paths
and CPU Stuck fields which indicates FOX direct logical paths are down from the
local cluster to remote clusters.
Task 2: Identify processors that are down or in a stuck state
To identify the processors that are reporting FOX direct logical paths that are down (D)
or in a stuck state (-STUCK-), use the ServerNet/FX adapter subsystem SCF STATUS
PATH command with the DETAIL option.
Identifying all processors on a FOX ring
To identify all processors on a FOX ring reporting FOX direct logical paths that are
down (D) and to identify the processors on the local cluster reporting FOX direct logical
paths that are stuck (-STUCK-), issue the following ServerNet/FX adapter subsystem
SCF command:
SCF> STATUS PATH $ZZFOX.*, TO \*.*, DETAIL
Identifying processors from the local cluster to a specified remote cluster
To identify the processors that are reporting a down (D) FOX direct logical path from
the local cluster to a specified remote cluster and to identify the processors on the local
cluster reporting FOX direct logical paths that are stuck (-STUCK-), issue the following
ServerNet/FX adapter subsystem SCF command:
SCF> STATUS PATH $ZZFOX.*, TO remote-cluster, DETAIL
SCF> STATUS PATH $ZZFOX.*, TO \*.*

Note. Although a CPU stuck state is symmetric on two processors over different clusters, the
STATUS PATH command returns CPU stuck state details from the perspective of the local
cluster. The remote cluster may take up to 10 minutes to declare a CPU stuck state for the
same FOX direct logical connection.
