Considerations
POWERRIGHT
The POWERRIGHT attribute specifies the power level (powerlevel) for the
link to the right cluster. The Right Out fiber connector on the ServerNet/FX
adapter provides the link from the adapter to the right cluster. A value of 0
specifies a low power level and is used for distances up to 2 Km. A value of 1
specifies a high power level and is used for distances from 2 Km to 4 Km.
Considerations
•
If an attribute is not assigned a value, the default is used. However, some
attributes do not have default values and therefore must be assigned values.
•
A given attribute can appear only once in a single ADD command.
•
The new object module and/or program file is used the next time the ServerNet/FX
adapter specified by the LBU is started using the START LBU command.
•
If the name of a system is changed (for example, from \PRUNE to \FORTY) the
associated LBUs must be deleted using the SCF DELETE command then added
using the SCF ADD command before the LBUs are started using the SCF START
LBU command.
Examples
The following command adds the ServerNet/FX adapter connected to the X-ring and
specifies the LOCATION, CLUSTERNUM, and POWERLEFT values:
SCF> ADD LBU $ZZFOX.#X, LOCATION (1,1,53), CLUSTERNUM 5,
POWERLEFT 0
The following command adds the ServerNet/FX adapter connected to the Y-ring and
specifies the LOCATION, CLUSTERNUM, and POWERLEFT values:
SCF> ADD LBU $ZZFOX.#Y, LOCATION (1,1,54), CLUSTERNUM 5,
POWERLEFT 0
Default 0
Units Not applicable
Range 0 to 1
WARNING. Damage can result if the powerlevel is set to 1 for distances up to 2 Km.
