Considerations
Considerations
•
Use the DEFAULT parameter for configuration changes to the LBU that are to be
retained during subsequent cold loads of the system.
•
Changes to PROGRAM, MODULE, or CLUSTERNUM will not take effect until the
next time the ServerNet/FX adapter specified by the LBU is started using the
START LBU command.
•
When altering POWERLEFT or POWERRIGHT, the ServerNet/FX adapter
specified by the LBU must be brought down before issuing the ALTER command.
The changes will take effect the next time the ServerNet/FX adapter specified by
the LBU is started using the START LBU command.
•
Changes to SAMPLEINT take effect immediately.
•
If the name of a system is changed (for example, from \PRUNE to \FORTY) the
associated LBUs must be deleted using the SCF DELETE command then added
using the SCF ADD command before the LBUs are started using the SCF START
LBU command.
Examples
The following command alters the CLUSTERNUM value to 5 for the ServerNet/FX
adapter connected to the X-ring:
SCF> ALTER LBU $ZZFOX.#X, CLUSTERNUM 5
The following command alters the SAMPLEINT value to 45 seconds and the
POWERLEFT value to low power for the ServerNet/FX adapter connected to the Y-
ring:
SCF> ALTER $ZZFOX.#Y, SAMPLEINT 45.000, POWERLEFT 0
