Consideration
•
As Figure 4-1 shows, the CONNECT command allows messages to flow in and out
the left (or right) side of the ServerNet/FX adapter. The STOP and ABORT
commands logically disconnect the local cluster from the ServerNet/FX adapter,
but messages still flow through the ServerNet/FX adapter until you issue the
DISCONNECT command.
•
The CONNECT command fails unless the ServerNet/FX adapter is in the
STARTED state. Execute the START LBU command to place the ServerNet/FX
adapter in the STARTED state.
•
When you load a system, the ServerNet/FX adapter starts up with the two sides
fully connected unless you have specified STOPPED for the STARTSTATE. You
disconnect a ServerNet/FX adapter only by using the DISCONNECT command. To
fully connect a disconnected FOX cluster, you must execute the CONNECT
command for each of the two sides of the ServerNet/FX adapter.
