Adding the Data Path
Issue an SCF ADD TAPE command to configure the tape drive. This is an
example:
-> ADD TAPE $M8706A, SENDTO STORAGE, CLIM C1002531, LUN 1
You can specify backup and primary CPUs if you need to balance the
processing load to other CPUs.
After the tape drive is added, use the START command to start it:
->
START TAPE $M8706A
Verify the Tape Configuration
To check that the tape drive was successfully added, issue the SCF STATUS tape-
name, detail command:
->STATUS TAPE $M8706A, DETAIL
