Appendix B SNAX/CM Messages

This appendix describes the status and error messages returned to SNAX/CM and
related processes. These messages are grouped as follows:
Return codes for $RECEIVE file, OUT file, and LOG file
Text messages for the specified OUT file and LOG file
Return Code Summary All of the SNAX/CM procedures return a code that indicates the success or failure of
the call. Table B-1 lists how these return codes are grouped.
Table B-1. Categories of Return Codes
Range of Numbers Explanation
1 through 15 The SNAX/CM command is accepted, and an operation is in progress.
16 through 31 The SNAX/CM operation succeeded, but data was truncated.
32 through 63 The SNAX/CM command is rejected because errors can be corrected only
by operator intervention or hardware repair. These commands can be
retried.
64 through 127 The SNAX/CM operation was not executed because of an error internal to
the SXCMGR program.
128 through 255 The SNAX/CM command was attempted, but the operation failed because
of shared use of lines or PUs.
256 through 511 The SNAX/CM command was attempted, but the operation failed because
an APPL object, line, or PU was not configured or was identified incorrectly.
512 through 1023 The SNAX/CM command is rejected and the operation was not attempted
because of parameter specification errors.
1023 through 2047 The SNAX/CM process failed.
