UNABLE to ACCESS APPL
mgr
.#
appl
Cause. SNAX/CM is unable to access SNAX/XF.
Effect. If the error is recoverable, SNAX/CM tries the failing connection management
operation again; otherwise, SNAX/CM logs this message and issues an ABEND
command. Save both the abend file and the LOG file, and contact your Tandem
representative.
Recovery. Check the return code and file-system error number to determine the reason
for the command not being accepted.
Messages in the LOG File Messages in the LOG file are distinguished by two prefixes:
LOG: includes syntax errors and messages related to processing commands.
MON: includes messages about the status and state changes of lines, not caused by
SNAX/CM, which have the same APPL object as this SNAX/CM process (defined
using SCF or the SYSGEN process).
Monitor messages pertain to any line or lines. If the CONNECTAPPLANY attribute
was defined when the lines were configured, monitor messages are sent to all
SNAX/CM processes; however, if a specific APPL object was defined when lines were
configured, monitor messages are sent only to SNAX/CM processes that open that
specific APPL process.
SNAX/CM monitors lines and logs any line connections and disconnections. It also
logs each command entered by the user, the operation in progress, and the success or
the failure of processing each command.
