3 SNAX/CM Commands

This section provides syntax, detailed descriptions, and examples of how to use
SNAX/CM commands. These commands can be used interactively or
programmatically for configurations supporting either X.25 or Token-Ring networks.
SNAX/CM Commands Table 3-1 summarizes the functions for each of these commands. These SNAX/CM
commands are described in alphabetical order in this section.
Table 3-1. SNAX/CM Commands
SNAX/CM Command Name Function
APPLNAME defines an application name corresponding to the SCF-configured
APPL name
CONNECT initiates a call-out operation
DISABLE disables a line for any call-in operation
DISCONNECT disconnects a connection on the line that has been set by either a
call-in or call-out operation
EMSCOLLECTOR starts or stops SNAX/CM event generation and specifies the EMS
collector for EMS events
ENABLE enables a line to allow call-in operations
EXIT terminates SNAX/CM operations
HELP provides information about SNAX/CM commands
LOG starts and stops the log file
OBEY includes a series of SNAX/CM commands
STATUS LINE asks SNAX/CM for connection information about a line
STATUS LINE, PORT asks SNAX/CM for connection information about a port associated
with a line
STATUS LINE, PU asks SNAX/CM for connection information about a PU associated
with a line
STATUS PU asks SNAX/CM for connection information about a switched floating
PU
TRACE starts and stops SNAX/CM tracing
Note SNAX/CM commands do not accept the wildcard character (*).
