Attributes and Built-in Functions for SNAX Creator-2
5–6 117143 SNAX Creator-2 Configuration and Control Manual
This attribute is optional. If omitted, the printer (if any) in the PATHMON
configuration is the default.
PROCESS
Default: None
Value: Set of process names (attribute values are filtered for running processes)
Object: APPL
This attribute is used only if the METHOD attribute has the value PATHWAY. It
specifies a set of intermediate processes from which SNAX Creator-2 selects one.
If PROCESS is specified, the TCP opens the selected intermediate process. The
intermediate process can manipulate data streams between the Pathway application
and the access method.
The intermediate processes must reside on the same Tandem node as the access
method. The running PATHMON process and the SNAX Creator-2 subsystem can
reside on different remote nodes.
Each process name must be of the form $
axxxx
where
a
is an alphabetic character
and
xxxx
are up to four alphanumeric characters. If the intermediate process is on a
remote node, the process name must be qualified by the node name.
This attribute is optional.
PROGRAM
Default: None
Value: Set of Pathway PROGRAM object names (not filtered)
Object: APPL
This attribute is used only if the METHOD attribute has the value PATHWAY. It
specifies a set of Pathway PROGRAM object names from which SNAX Creator-2
selects one.
This attribute is optional at configuration, but mandatory at logon.
SEGVOL
Default: None
Value: Set of disk names (attribute values are filtered for accessible non-optical
disks)
Object: APPL
This attribute is used only if the METHOD attribute has the value TACL. It specifies a
set of disks on the system defined by [#SYSTEM] from which SNAX Creator-2 selects
one for the TACL process to use.
This attribute is optional. If the SEGVOL attribute is omitted, then the TACL process
chooses its own segment disk.
