SCF Interface to
SNAX Creator-2
SNAX Creator-2 is configured and controlled through the Subsystem Control Facility
(SCF). You can either enter SCF commands from a terminal, or prepare a sequence of
commands in a command (OBEY) file that can be run as needed. All SCF commands
directed to SNAX Creator-2 are sent to the Subsystem Control Point (SCP) process,
which in turn routes them to the SNAX Creator-2 subsystem. Display information and
error messages from the SNAX Creator-2 are returned, through SCP and SCF, to the
terminal or to a log file.
Configuration Database Each SNAX Creator-2 subsystem is associated with a specific configuration database.
This database is used to store information you enter through SCF, including the names
of objects, object states, and attributes and their values (these are explained later in this
section).
A configuration database can be used by multiple SNAX Creator-2 subsystems. You
specify the name of the configuration database when you start SNAX Creator-2; if you
do not specify one, a temporary database is created.
