SNAX Creator-2 Configuration and Control Manual

New and Changed Information
117143 SNAX Creator-2 Configuration and Control Manual iii
Changes in this edition of the SNAX Creator-2 Configuration and Control Manual
include the following:
In 1994, the Pathway transaction processing software that runs on the Himalaya
and later models of the Tandem NonStop system was repackaged as two separate
products:
NonStop Transaction Services/MP (NonStop TS/MP), consisting of the
Pathsend procedure calls, the LINKMON process, the PATHMON process,
and the PATHCOM process and interface
Pathway/Transaction Services (Pathway/TS), consisting of the terminal
control process (TCP), SCREEN COBOL, and the SCREEN COBOL Utility
Program (SCUP)
This manual has been updated to reflect product changes and additional
enhancements related to Pathway transaction processing software.
Also, the glossary has been updated and some definitions have been rewritten.
The glossary now includes terms used in all the manuals in the NonStop TS/MP
and Pathway/TS manual set.
Wording has been changed in examples where necessary to reflect the possible use
of multiple service managers. In most cases the change has been to indicate that
the name of a service manager may, but not necessarily, be $SSCP.
Note that change bars are included in the outside margin to indicate changes made to
this manual since the previous edition.
