Object Type
The CONNECTION object type is nonconfigurable. It represents an active connection
between a SNAX Creator-2 subsystem and an access method SU. When you add an
SU, a CONNECTION object is automatically created subordinate to the SU. When you
stop an SU, the subordinate CONNECTION objects are deleted as soon as pending
work is complete, typically within a few seconds.
Object Name Format A CONNECTION object name has the following format:
\
node1
.$
process1.
#
subdevice-
\
node2.
$
crename2
\

$

#
subdevice
is the fully-qualified filename of the SU that the SNAX Creator-2 subsystem
opened to initiate the connection. See “SU Object Type” later in this section.
\
node2.
$
crename2
is the process name of the SNAX Creator-2 subsystem that initiated the connection
(set when the RUN CREOBJ command was issued).
\

is a node name commencing with a backslash, followed by one alphabetic
character and up to six alphanumeric characters.
It need not be the same node as the SNAX Creator-2 through which the SCF
command is serviced.
