Object Name Format The SESSION object name is the fully-qualified filename of the port through which the
application accesses the terminal. It has the following syntax:

node1
is a node name commencing with a backslash followed by one alphabetic character
and up to six alphanumeric characters.
$
process2
is a process name commencing with a dollar sign followed by one alphabetic
character and and up to six alphanumeric characters.
For SNAX/XF and SNAX/APN it is the name of the line-handler process serving
the terminal connection.
#subdevice
is a name commencing with a pound sign followed by up to seven alphanumeric
characters.
Object States A SESSION object can be in one of the following states:
State Meaning
STARTED The session initiation has been finished.
For a TACL application, this means that SNAX Creator-2 has completed the
startup protocol with the TACL program.
For a Pathway application, this means that the PATHMON process has accepted
the RUN PROGRAM command.
For a user-written server application, this means the server has returned a positive
response.
STARTING The session initiation has been started but not yet finished.
STOPPING The session has been terminated before the initiation functions have finished.
Attributes A SESSION object does not have any configurable attributes.

SU Object Type The SU object type identifies a fully-qualified filename through which the
SNAX Creator-2 subsystem connects with an access method.
