Object Name Format The SU object name has the following syntax:

Note When you use an SU object name in an SCF command, you can omit \
node1
and the period following
it if the SU object resides on the same node as the SNAX Creator-2 subsystem.
\
node1
is a node name commencing with a backslash followed by up to seven
alphanumeric characters. The first character must be alphabetic, and the
remaining characters must be alphanumeric.
$
process1
is a process name commencing with a dollar sign followed by one alphabetic
character and up to six alphanumeric characters.
For SNAX/XF and SNAX/APN, it is the name of the service manager process (for
example $SSCP) serving the terminal connection.
#subdevice
is a name commencing with a pound sign followed by up to seven alphanumeric
characters.
Object States An SU object can be in one of the following states:
State Meaning
STARTED The SU is enabled. When the SU is in this state, SNAX Creator-2 attempts to
establish connections to the SU. This is the initial state of an SU after it is added.
STOPPED The STOP command has been issued. SNAX Creator-2 terminates the
connections to the SU.
SUSPENDED An attempt to evaluate one of the attributes of the SU failed. An event describing
the failure was generated when the error occurred.
Attributes An SU object has the following configurable attributes. For more information about
these attributes, refer to Section 5, “Attributes and Expressions for SNAX Creator-2.”
