MC-CONFIRMED Verb
MC-CONFIRMED Verb
A TP uses the MC-CONFIRMED verb request to acknowledge receipt of data or
completion of a function.
When the local TP receives a CONFIRM indication in the WHAT-RECEIVED field of a
MC-RECEIVE-AND-WAIT or MC-RECEIVE-IMMEDIATE reply, it must use MC-
CONFIRMED to acknowledge that the data has been received or processed correctly.
MC-CONFIRMED completes immediately; if the local TP chooses to reject the data, it
can issue a MC-SEND-ERROR verb.
The format for MC-CONFIRMED request is:
The MC-CONFIRMED verb has no parameters for either the request or the reply, only
the request header and reply header, which are of the standard SNAX/APC format.
MC-CONFIRMED is supported in the same manner as the standard CONFIRMED verb.
Consideration
If an MC-CONFIRMED verb is processing when SNAX/APC receives a CANCEL
system message from the application program, SNAX/APC deactivates the session and
replies to the cancelled IPC. SNAX/APC frees the internal resources after finishing the
processing of the verb.
