DEACTIVATE-SESSION (SF2)
DEACTIVATE-SESSION (SF2)
The DEACTIVATE-SESSION verb deactivates an LU-LU session.
DEACTIVATE-SESSION completes immediately; it does not wait for the deactivation
to complete.
As noted earlier, the form of the verb used is that applicable to an IPC with a version
code of S2 or S3.
To use the DEACTIVATE-SESSION verb, the TP that APS represents must have session
control authorization. Session control authorization is determined by the value assigned
to the SESSIONCONTROL attribute of the TP. Only a TP with a value of YES for this
attribute can activate a session. The SCF mnemonic for the TP is TPN, and the attribute
is set when the TPN object is added or subsequently altered.
Request Fields
Session ID
specifies the ID of the session that is to be deactivated. The session ID may be
obtained by issuing a GET-ATTRIBUTES against the conversation (before the
conversation terminates).
Type (No,CL)
specifies the type of deactivation. You can enter one of the following two values:
NO
specifies that the session is to be deactivated normally. If a conversation is
active, deactivation waits until the conversation is deallocated. Deactivation
occurs immediately if no session is active.
