Basic Conversation Verbs
Basic Conversation Verbs
The basic conversation verbs are intended for use by LU services programs. LU
services programs can provide end-user services or protocol boundaries for end-user
application transaction programs. For example, the mapped conversation LU services
component issues basic conversation verbs during its processing of mapped
conversation verbs.
ALLOCATE (F2)
The ALLOCATE verb establishes a conversation with a partner TP. ALLOCATE is
usually the first verb issued after a TP has issued a TP-READY verb and locally
attached itself to the SNAX/APC process. A TP can also use the ALLOCATE verb to
establish conversations with other TPs after being attached by a partner TP.
In loopback mode:
•
For the source TP, ALLOCATE must be the first conversational verb issued.
•
For the target TP, RECEIVE-AND-WAIT must be the first conversational verb
issued.
ALLOCATE completes either immediately, or when the local TP has control of the
session, according to the entry specified in the Return Control request field.
