CONFIRM (F9)

The CONFIRM verb requests confirmation of receipt of data or completion of a

function. This verb sends any data and requests in the SNAX/APC buffer to the partner

TP and requests an explicit confirmation from the partner TP that it has received the

data. When you issue CONFIRM, the partner TP receives CONFIRM in the WHAT-

RECEIVED field of a RECEIVE-AND-WAIT reply. CONFIRM completes when APS

receives a confirmation or an error reply from the partner TP.

Request Fields

The request field for the CONFIRM verb screen has no operator input.

Reply Fields

IPC Return Code

displays the value of HEADER-RETURN-CODE returned in the IPC header reply.

IPC Return Code Detail

displays the value of HEADER-RETURN-CODE-DETAIL returned in the IPC

header reply.

UOWs In

displays the number of UOWs in this IPC message (always 1 for APS).

UOWs Out

for APS, this value is always 1. UOWs Out indicates the number of reply UOWs

contained in the reply from SNAX/APC.
