Sync Point Session and Conversation Activation
Sync Point Session and Conversation Activation
When SNAX/APC receives a TP-READY request with the sync point parameter
SYNCSUPPORT set to “Y”, SNAX/APC determines whether the request can be
honored or rejected. It is honored only if the requested LU has been configured to
support sync level conversations. If the request is rejected, an error stating SYNC
LEVEL NOT SUPPORTED BY LU, is sent to the TP.
If the request is honored, a new, unique, protected Logical Unit of Work Identifier
(LUWID) is generated and returned with the resource ID. In the case of a remotely
attached TP, the LUWID is not generated and the TP-READY remains pending. The
TP-READY completes when it receives an attach from the other TP. The LUWID
received with the ATTACH header is used in the TP-READY reply.
