ALLOCATE Verb
If an ALLOCATE verb is issued with the AL-RET-CONTROL field set to %H0000,
two spaces, or AL, SNAX/APC waits for a session with the specified partner, using
the specified mode, to become free.
If an ALLOCATE verb is processing when SNAX/APC receives a CANCEL system
message from the application program, SNAX/APC replies to the cancelled IPC
immediately. The ALLOCATE verb is allowed to finish normally. After
SNAX/APC finishes processing the verb, SNAX/APC deallocates the conversation
and frees the internal resources.
The type of security that an LU supports is indicated in the BIND request and BIND
response when an LU-LU session is established. If the remote LU does not accept
any security parameters from the local LU and the local TP specifies AL-
SECURITY-TYPE-PGM or AL-SECURITY-TYPE-SAME, the local LU
downgrades the specification to AL-SECURITY-TYPE-NONE. Similarly, if the
remote LU does not accept the local LU’s verification of the user ID and password,
and the local ATP specifies AL-SECURITY-TYPE-SAME, the local LU
downgrades the specification to AL-SECURITY-TYPE-NONE.
