Descriptions of the SNA-defined Modes
LU is started, the DEFAULTMAXINRUSIZE and DEFAULTMAXOUTRUSIZE
attributes are not validated against the underlying SNAX access method. However if
the values of these attributes exceeds the upper limit of the underlying SNAX access
method, the CurrentMaxInRUSize and CurrentMaxOutRUSize counters (as shown
in the INFO PTNR-MODE detailed display) are set to the upper limit after the
PTNR-MODE is started. If the values of the DEFAULTMAXINRUSIZE and
DEFAULTMAXOUTRUSIZE attributes do not exceed the upper limit of the
underlying access method, the CurrentMaxInRUSize and CurrentMaxOutRUSize
counters are set to the values specified in the DEFAULTMAXINRUSIZE and
DEFAULTMAXOUTRUSIZE attributes when the PTNR-MODE object is started.
Examples
The following are examples of configuring modes:
-> ASSUME PTNR-LU $APC1.LLU01.CICSLU62
-> ADD PTNR-MODE LU62BIND, MODENAME LU62BIND, &
DEFAULTMAXSESSION 100, DEFAULTMINCONWINNER 20, &
DEFAULTMINCONLOSER 20, MAXAUTOACT 20, RCVWINDOW 7, &
SENDWINDOW 7, DEFAULTMAXINRUSIZE 4096, &
DEFAULTMAXOUTRUSIZE 4096
If the PTNR-LU is not assumed, you would alternately use the following:
-> ADD PTNR-MODE $APC1.LLU01.CICSLU62.LU62BIND, &
MODENAME LU62BIND, DEFAULTMAXSESSION 100, &
DEFAULTMINCONWINNER 20, DEFAULTMINCONLOSER 20, &
MAXAUTOACT 20, RCVWINDOW 7, SENDWINDOW 7, &
DEFAULTMAXINRUSIZE 4096, DEFAULTMAXOUTRUSIZE 4096
Here is another example:
-> ASSUME PTNR-LU $APC1.RLU01.LLU01
-> ADD PTNR-MODE LU62BIND, MODENAME LU62BIND,&
DEFAULTMAXSESSION 512, DEFAULTMINCONWINNER 30,&
DEFAULTMINCONLOSER 30, MAXAUTOACT 30, RCVWINDOW 63,&
SENDWINDOW 63
Descriptions of the SNA-defined Modes
Several PTNR-MODE objects representing the SNA-defined mode names will be
automatically added to a PTNR-LU object if the following conditions are met:
The local LU supports DYNAMIC functions
The local LU is a parallel-session LU (MAXSESSION > 1)
The partner LU is also a parallel-session LU (with PARALLEL-SESSION-LU set to
YES)
These PTNR-MODE objects are:
