Interpreting TRACE Entries
Verb. Names the verb and shows the contents of the UOWs in the IPC message.
If more than one UOW exists in the IPC message, you have to distinguish each one
by looking for the βSTβ UOW ID, followed by a verb request. The example shows a
single SEND-DATA verb request (also identified by the %H03F0 in the second word
of the entry). Figure 5-3
depicts the first 20 bytes of the UOW.
The third word contains the length of data being sent (80 bytes, %H0050). Data
begins at the fourth word. Note that the data consists of two GDS variables. The
first GDS variable begins with %H0050 in the fourth word. This is the LL field for
the GDS header. The fifth word contains the ID for the GDS header (%H12FF).
Examine the full example (on the previous page) for the LL-ID fields that identify
the beginning of the second GDS variable.
