LU Object
entered and displayed as a four-digit hexadecimal string. It is not necessary to have
the %H prefix for conv-id because it will always be a hexadecimal integer.
Examples
The following are valid object names for the CONV object:
$APC1.LU01.ACCT.0012.003A
$APC1.TDMLU001.%6441%.0045.004B
LU Object
The LU object type represents a local LU. An LU is the entry point through which a
transaction program accesses the SNA network. The LU object is used when the object
of a control or inquiry operation is an LU local to the SNAX/APC process. You must
configure a local LU before it can be used in a session with a remote LU.
Naming Conventions
The object name for the LU object is local-lu, and it has the following format:
$apc-process
is the name of the SNAX/APC process.
local-lu
is the name of the local LU object. The name may consist of one to eight characters,
the first of which must be a letter. The name must be unique to the SNAX/APC
process.
Examples
The following are valid object names for the LU object:
$APC1.LU01
$APC1.TDMLU001
PROCESS Object
The PROCESS object type defines the SNAX/APC process. It is initiated by a TACL
RUN command, or programmatically by a call to a process creation operating system
procedure. This object type enables the operator to control the operation of the
SNAX/APC process and is frequently used to control subordinate objects. For example,
the PROCESS object type is used to cause a processor switch or to obtain information
using commands such as INFO, TRACE, and STATUS.
