ABORT LU Command
ABORT is a sensitive command.
Command Syntax
The ABORT command has the following syntax:
Object Specification
The object specification for the SNAX/APC ABORT command is:
ABORT LU Command
The ABORT LU command terminates the operation of a local LU and leaves it in a
STOPPED state.
Considerations
•
The ABORT LU command terminates the operation of the local LU entirely, and
closes its underlying access method. As a result, the local LU can no longer accept
conversation verbs from transaction programs, and rejects SNA commands from its
partner LUs.
•
The local transaction program’s TP-READY verbs are rejected with the following
IPC return code if either the LU or the TPN is not in the STARTED state:
IPC-RETURN-CODE = RC-IPC-SERVICE-DENIED
IPC-RETURN-CODE-DETAIL = RC-LU-STOPPED or RC-TPN-STOPPED
•
An LU can be aborted while it is in the STARTING state.
•
The counter displayed under the SNAXRetryCount heading in the INFO LU
command is set to 0 after the LU is aborted.
