New and Changed Information
Because this new manual was created from earlier manuals, change bars are used to
indicate technical material that has changed from the earlier manuals. The majority of
the changed material documents the addition of sync point support. Technical changes
have been made in the following areas:
Section 2, Planning for SNAX/APC
; a new subsection was added: Sync Point Support
Considerations on page 2-13.
Section 4, Configuring Network Resources for SNAX/APC
contains changes in the
following subsections:
•
The new LU attribute, LOCAL-LU-SYNC2-SUPPORT, was added to the
subsection Configuring a Local LU on pages 4-11, 4-12, and 4-14.
•
The new TPN object named %06F2% was added to the subsection Configuring
a Local TP Name on page 4-18.
•
In the subsection Complete Examples on page 4-30, the previous example was
found to be incorrect for SNAX/XF and SNAX/CDF connectivity and it is now
named SNAX/APN Example. A new example named SNAX/XF or SNAX/CDF
Example was added.
Section 8, SCF Commands for SNAX/APC
contains changes in the following
subsections:
•
The new LU attribute, LOCAL-LU-SYNC2-SUPPORT, was added to the
subsections ADD LU Attributes on pages 8-9 and 8-12 and ALTER LU
Attributes on pages 8-23 and 8-25.
•
The new TPN object named %06F2% was added to the subsection ADD TPN
Attributes on page 8-21.
•
A new value, Syncpt, was added to the display of the Sync Level field on the
displays for the INFO CONV Command
on pages 8-44 and 8-45.
•
The new LU attribute, LOCAL-LU-SYNC2-SUPPORT, was added to the
displays of the INFO LU Command on pages 8-47 and 8-48. The LU attribute
DYNAMIC-SUPPORT was also added to the displays because it was missing in
the previous manual.
•
A new value, Syncpt, was added to the display of the Sync Level Support field
on the display for the INFO SESSION Detailed Display
on page 8-63.
•
A new statistical counter, Get Tp Properties, was added on the display for the
STATS SESSION Command on page 8-82.
Appendix A, Base and Option Sets Supported by SNAX/APC
contains the following
changes:
•
Added the new verb, GET-TP-PROPERTIES, to Table A-3, Type Independent
Verbs, on page A-2.
•
Added the new verb option, Sync Point Service, to Table A-5, Verb Options on
pages A-4 and A-6.
